Preamble

With much prayer and the sense of the Spirit's leading,
we believe that GOD is calling us, His people,
to a vision of renewal and a time of rededication.

The following eleven statements call us to a renewal of care
for one another,
for our youth,
and for our community.

Statements of Intent

God's Word is Important

We will be diligent in reading, preaching, teaching, and living God's Word. Blessed is the church that is grounded in God's Word.
(2 Tim. 3:16-17; Ps. 119:105; Heb. 4:12; Col 3:16; Josh. 1:8; Is. 40:8)

Prayer is Important

We will be diligent in prayer and earnestly seek opportunities to pray for individuals, the church, the local community and the nations. Blessed is the church that prays.
(Col. 4:2; 1 Thes. 5:17; 1 Tim. 2:8; Matt. 21:13; 2 Chron. 7:14; Luke 22:40)

Worship is Important

We will program for meaningful worship, balancing contemporary and traditional styles. Blessed is the church that truly worships.
(Ps. 33:1-5; Ps. 40:9-10; Eph. 5:19-20; 1 Chron. 16:29)

Leadership is Important

We will enable and train leaders. Blessed is the church led on the path of God.
(Eph. 4:11-12; 1 Cor. 12:28; 1 Tim. 3:1-7; Rom 12:8)

People are Important

We will bring Jesus to the community and the community to the church. We will provide teaching for all age groups. Blessed is the church full of love.

Caring is Important

We will encourage and facilitate formation of care groups with appropriate training of leaders. Outreach will continue to be emphasized. All members will be cared for. Blessed is the church that truly cares.
(Rom 12:10; 1 Cor. 12:25-26; 1 Thes. 5:11; Gal. 6:10; Gal. 6:2)

Youth are Important

We will encourage our Youth and College & Career gropus to be active in discipling, worship, service and outreach. Blessed is the church that nurtures youth.
(1 Tim. 4:12)

Missions is Important

We will support MBMSI while actively calling out youth and adults for Christian service. Blessed is the church that goes where Christ sends.
(John 4:35; Matt. 28:19-20; Matt. 9:38)

Community Relations are Important

We will offer our sanctuary and facilities to appropriate community organizations and events. Blessed is the church that is a good neighbour.
(Luke 10:36-37; Matt. 19:19)

Facilities are Important

We will develop a long-range plan to build an educational / recreational facility. Blessed is the church with room for all.

Stewardship is Important

We will be diligent in supporting programs of the church with our time, talents, and finances. Blessed is the church that gives generously and joyfully.
(Acts 20:35; Luke 6:38; Matt. 10:8)

It is our prayer that this vision of renewal, both corporately and individually,
will bring greater glory to GOD.
